From MY99 to 2002 STI anyone done it?
Love my MY99 to bits!!!!
But have always fancied a 02 STI in white......
and now I've found one! 70k kms (40k miles) completely original.
The thing is I love the way my car drives boost comes in nice and low and I find the engine very fexible in almost all situations.
I'm going to test drive it this afternoon..... but test drives for me don't tell the whole story. I don't want sell mine and then regret selling one of the most rewarding driving cars I've ever had!!!!!!
Any ideas....
Cheers,
Plums.

i went from uk my99 to a JDM 2003 sti, the handling on the new sti is in a different league as compared with my old car !! my old car was quicker at 1st as it was modded and ran a 20g turbo at 1.5bar, but since i have added a GT30r to my new sti it makes my old my99 feel like a van

Well almost perfect!

Any idea how much to replace a front door plus paint?
The front foglight cover had a crack in it..... but wasn't too visual, price for one of these?
Engine seemed to be in good shape box nice and tight......
Need to know how much for the repairs before I can make a serious offer....
Oh and *** burn in drivers seat..... although driver say's he doesn't smoke?!?
Cheers

The car is as clean as a whistle! It's just the few cosmetic flaws that are letting it down....
So before I can consider buying it I need to know....
How much a new door will be.... and is the door the same as any Impreza 2002 - 2007 (Impreza, Wagon, WRX, STI) because if it is maybe I can find secondhand one?
Cheers guys!

In the UK about £400 for door, £300 painting, sticker and swop furniture prices maybe totally different in Switz
so try and locate a secondhand one
Believe it or not VERY expensive over £350 each but bought a Pair of Prodrive one's with holes for foglights £325

Looks a stunner mate..
Its wearing the prodrive edition bumper but not the prodrive grille?
So is it a genuine prodrive witha different grille? If so its the ONLY ever white one ive found.
Looks amazing in white..
Is it originally a UK car?
Tell us more mate.. thats a very very special car youve found there

Yep it's a prodrive special edition still has the standard 265 bhp..... and hasn't been breathed on......
It is even more beautiful in real life.... photos really don't do it justice.....
Driving behind it gave me a stiffy!!!!! Driving in it caught me glancing just once or twice at the reflection in the shop windows
Cheers,

Not certain, but more than likely but 2002-2004 are IIRC
My first new car, had it nearly 3 years. unfortunately died in Action
IIRC
Prodrive made about 1000 for the UK and 200 for EU and Japan, Possibly Parts shipped out and fitted in country of Origin.
first white one I've seen too. Yep thats the STD STi front Grille also put one on mine looked better than the PD 3 piece one
IMHO

If you look in the gallery - there is a picture with two Swiss Prodrive STI's in white in the Prodrive STI thread.
The numbers I worked out for Prodrive STI's were 800 for UK (600 WR Blue, 200 Black Mica), 150 for Europe, and 50 Prodrive STI RA's for Japan. Always happy to be told different if anyone has a source for other figures.
As far as I can tell only 1000 were made worldwide - although you can buy the bumpers/skirts from japanparts.com but their damn pricey!
Frayz - The sideskirts are different on the car Plums is looking at compared to our UK cars (I presume yours are the same as mine!)

Your figures seem to ring a bell
I seem to remeber (now we are in unusal territory) that side skirts, front Grille and Dark Blue Dash Dials were UK only fitment, EU &JDM's reatined the STD ones.

pointless front reflector thingies..
Not a great loss though huh?
I'm assuming that due to the otherwise untouched nature of the car this is normal for EU Prodrive STIs?

Cheers Tony for the offer!
I'll let you know by PM if I need them....
Trying my hardest to source a decent secondhand front door at the mo ideally in the same white,
Q: How many shades of white were there for the Impreza 2001-2002 and what were there names/codes?
Anyone know any trustworthy scooby Breakers who could give me any joy?
Got the green light from the wife...... although it would mean parting with my baby...... and that is something I'm still not sure I can do
So maybe I'll keep her as a practical classic and part ex the wife instead
Cheers, Plums.

Cheers Tony!
Coming back in end of May (sisters Wedding )
Was supposed to be flying with Queasy Jet but might be tempted to drive
If I did go for the STI it would be a good excuse to come over with it as all the work would be much cheaper than anything I can find here....
Cheers,
Plums....
