Default any suggestions before i get the angle grinder out?

got some mudflaps off maccy on here. no worries with them or the brackets etc. its the bloody car. the fronts went on fine... need a little screw drilling on though as theyre a little unsecure on the insides of the arches. thats not my problem though... this is

where the rear skirts meet and hug the arches at the bottom (piture it, cant be arsed with photos) there is a 8mm screw and bolt that goes through the spat and bumper. thing is when i try undo this screw, the bolt on the inside is turning with, but i canny get access to said bolt on the inside. several scraped knuckles and a bust pair of pliers later, i gave it up as a bad job.

so im thinking, maybe cut the head of the bolt away with my little angle grinder, and then push the remainder through and let it drop out. i have the necessary fixings to put back in the holes so thats not a problem, dont need the bloody screws and bolts anyway.

before i start and annoy the neighbours on my drive does anyone have any other suggestions? these screws/bolts have to come off in order for the flaps to go on. tried wd-40 too but no help.

if i have to il take a pic in a little while.

ta

andy

too late lol. took the grinder to it, and actually did a good job too. as the bumpers plastic, when i cut through the bolt, it actually softened the inner of the arch and melted it, rather neatly if im honest

so i got the flaps attached pronto to the bumper and assume the melted plastic may bond a little to the plastic clips on the flaps.

nice

quick pic... cars filthy, phone camera etc.

Nice flaps.......

....just like the ones I fitted to my bugeye yesterday. Mine are performance creation ones.

And yes, lose the Subaru, but that's just my opinion because I've done it. Go with your instinct.

I think keep the SUBARU badging... looks nice on a Classic.

Newage lose it because it looks over-badged with it on, the Classic looks jus right.

I'd keep the SUBARU badging too, I think it looks better left on a classic and breaks up the space nicely.

NO! Stop pissing about with it, it'll never end and you'll end up ruining it.

i doubt it will end. lowering springs, larger rear spoiler, and a front lip are a the exterior modifications which will obvioucly tarnish the subaru brand.

As opposed to something with letters on it. That's what we were discussing, isn't it? I don't like big spoilers, as I left school over 26 years ago.

Nor do they have a 'S U B A R U' script on the boot lid; so it shouldnt ever have been there.
