Default Mudflap Ground clearance front and rear

Hi Guys,

I've ordered some Performance Creations mudflaps for my MY05 STI and will be getting them tomorrow.

I just wanted to ask how much ground clearance you given both front and rear sets as I have heard people scraping them when cornering hard and over speed bumps etc. Does this indicate they are positioned too low or is that the norm and to be expected????

I just wanted the genearal consesus please and possibly some pics of how they look fittied on your cars.

Many Thanks in advance

I have the performance creation flaps fitted to my 03sti. You have the option of 2 different fitting heights and I think the rear ones are on the higher ones that keep them lower to the ground (3") and the fronts are on the lower ones (2") from the ground. They dont catch at all (standard springs) and look great.

Mine are fitted about 3" from the ground ...was very wary of reversing into/up kerbs & the damage that can be caused

I would fit them on their lowest setting (making them higher from the ground) just to be safe. Heard alot of stories about flaps being ripped right of by kerbs!

I agree with Bob...Im on my second set now...great flaps but ripped tow front sets off....really need to keep the front ones on the lower setting to keep them raised enough...suppose it depends on your suspension set up...i am running on tein damper set...so car is dropped anyway....other than that they are great mudflaps....

Many thanks for your replies guys, I have fitted them today on the lower setting as recommended by you folks.

I am very pleased with the quality and fitting of the Performance Creation mudflaps.
