Default ECU Reset?

Is it as simple as disconnecting the battery for about 10 mins on a 2002 WRX? Only reason is that the previous owner of the car used supermarket fuel and I want to run the car on V-Power.

Cheers

I don't think its a necessity on these models as the ECU's learn quite quickly. A reset would speed up the process a bit though. I'd disconnect it overnight...

anyone know if a snap-on disnostic will do the trick?

should I let it gradually learn the higher octane fuel or have the ecu reset asap?

Or you can use a PSI3 data monitor if you or a friend have one.

Take the battery off for a few hours will reset a new age ecu, that's what Mike Wood posted on here a few weeks back.
