Would be suprised if someone didnt buys this and then describe it as 'mint' on ebay

One thing for sure about older scoobys though, they were generally stronger than other cars at the time untill they were 'forced' to improve safety (ncap etc)

you would,nt belive the sh*t he had to go through for this car.he got it off scoobynet user when he looked at it it was mint and fully serviced.he was happy with it so he put deposit down.when he went to pick it up the owner had damaged the bonnet by slamming it hard to get it to shut(didnt think to oil the catch)after a bit of haggling with the owner over the damage he handed over a banker draft.as my mate takes his new scoob home he get a phone call from the old owner telling him that the banker draft would'nt go straight in his bank so he could'nt get the money out that day.he wonted the car back till the money had cleared.he got tolded to **** off.when my mate gets home the police are sitting out side his house waiting for him and the car.so he sorts out with police who see no problem or that the car has been stolen.when he got the car it had about 4 months tax on it.it works out the old owner did'nt sent the logbook off and would'nt responed to the dvla letter for it.so at long last the dvla re issue a logbook.he taxed it the first of feb wrote it off on the 25th of feb gutted

Sucks.

Bankers Drafts are as good as carrying a really large sterling note; there is no possibility of it 'bouncing' as the money must be available for them to produce the bankers draft in the first place.

Stolen bankers drafts are not uncommon.
