Default aarrggghhh!!!!!!

well been to look at another 98 metallic blue impreza wagon today, and it looked awesome, just what i want!
had a good look round it, hardly any marks on the body at all or interior, everything worked as it should do.
it even had cruise control which i didnt realise was an option

so we went into the guys house and i was almost ready to exchange money, but i thought i would just make sure i looked at all the receipts etc that were in the history folder. the car had FSH and was on 82k miles..........however in the folder was another service history book (the original one, the other service book was virtually brand new) with history and servicing being stamped up to 125k miles
sadly the car had been clocked and i dont think the owner who seemed genuine enough had been aware of this (although you never i suppose).

so im pretty cheesed off. ive spent £50 on car hire to see 2 different cars and both have had problems .........so im still looking!

Lucky you checked. Maybe worth mentioning the area the car was in in case anyone else on here is looking and the 'real' service book has vanished?
