Have a choice and test driving them tomorow. I have been told that saloons handle better than wagons I have had 2 saloons and loved them but the wagon would be more practical. Also anybody got any pics of a silver wagon with tints and stickers on the windows. Both cars are around the same age and price.

I would be very suprised if your average driver could tell the slightest bit of difference between them

 

Had both, now back to a wagon. Practical (dog, DIY and Grandson), handling not a problem (quick release rear strut), tune ability same as a saloon.

Less desirable to **** heads and Burberry boy racers too!

Wagon. Cant go wrong, agree with all that Blue Dragoon has said.

Roof rails are removable, have never bothered myself. have a search on NASIOC as it is a common mod over there. Do believe Saab parts fit if it is a new shape and not a classic??

roof bars are easy to remove; gently pull the roof lining away from the edge of the roof and you will see four bolts per side but the gutter covers are circa £160 a side

 

I tried both and went for the wagon....and I love it

As for handling it was good before but I've just had a Powerstation Stage 2 and now it's bloody brilliant, scary cornering speeds are no bother!

I also liked the stealth appeal, planting your right foot and disappearing over the horizon before the tailgating prat knows whats happened

If someone stole my WRX I think i'd be tempted to go for a wagon. There's a really nice blue one on here which has got the STI bumper bits on. That looks good.

Wagon is awesome and evey mod you can do to a saloon also applies to a wagon.

Can't beat the 330bhp feeling of sodding off away from someone with your retriever panting out the back window at them!!!

I would be supprised if you woulds notice the difference. If you are worried, get a rear Strut brace. Will probably be more solid stuctually than the Saloon then.

The panel in a saloon behind the back seat is pretty flimsy. Some People get then welded in to help on track days.

I would go for the Wagon every time......

 

Drove both, no difference. In fact the only comment i've ever had that is a negative on the wagon (and not mine as it is standard) was that a loud exhaust was a touch louder than in a saloon because you only have the boot floor between you and the box so slightly less sound deadening. Hardly a criticism.

Have seen black limo tints on the rear of a silver wagon and it looked well smart!

Only 'handling' difference is a wagon needs a rear strut brace to put it on par with a saloon. And THAT is literally it. Newage wagons I believe have a slightly narrower track than the saloon, what difference it makes I don't know. Nothing noticeable I bet.

Wagons look better, are 10x more practical, more stealth, you can park them where you want and not come back to find it nicked, scratched or surrounded by a bunch of chavs wanting to know how fast it goes. And the roof rails are wicked. I never use them, but they look good IMHO. It's the same with Audis - an RS4 saloon is a nice runaround, but for the true connoisseur of motoring style it's got to be the RS4 Avant.
