I used to own this baby...

It was making around 165 bhp and handled very well.

but my mate has lovely 205 which now has a Mas Peugeot 2.1 engine and made over 200 bhp at the wheels amazing from a normally aspirated motor, certainly keeps up with my scooby in the dry I'll try and post a piccy one day... That said his engine cost more than my car

Up to last year our drive was cluttered with 4 Peugeots. A 1.9 205 Gti,last of the un-catted and no power steering. A S16 and 2 Mi16's one of which had been modified quite significantly. Once the Subarus moved in the heavy hints started and something had to go...ah well. Down to Mi16's now and it looks likely that they'll really have to go before the STI arrives.

Unhappy

Have a 206 gti, while saving pennies for WRX, and although it handles well, is quick and stops well, in a year and 20k miles it has had..(under warranty)
new radiator
replacement exhaust manifold
really poor paintwork quality, with laquer peeling off

So would not have another one, part of reason why I want a Scooby, quick , and hopefully reliable

p.s. shouldn't this be in the non-scooby related forum? or are we thinking of setting up a Peugoet Forum? <G>

205 GTi 1.9, boggo standard, no cat or PAS, just how it should be.

3 Impreza's owned, and still nothing does the job better.

When something does, I'll place the order.

And another one for the Pug vote

Currently for sale as I'm after a Scooby but other than that I love it. I've had it lowered using Eibach springs which really make a big difference to the handling - much less roll now. Plus a few other bits and bobs - recent RR day got 145 bhp and 147lb/ft

Also had a 306XSI 16V before that too

I have a silver E-reg 309 GL Automatic. It does have 14" speedline pepperpot alloys though and a tendency not to start sometimes. You people must be rich. What do you all do - merchant banking?

On the subject does anyone know anything about the 106 Cup. Something on the lines of buy Gp N prepared 106, get entered into some gravel rallys, put car into hedge.

406 3.0 V6 saloon fully loaded. A real smoothie, and only £7000 with 34000 miles. Also has a subtle bit of bespoilering and bigger wheels, and is minorly ICEd up by myself.

I have a WRX MY96 and my other half has a 205 1.9 GTI on an E plate which we bought in 1988 when it had only 5000 miles on the clock. It now has 130000 miles on the clock and still going strong.
