Default What meal to cook for her??? Suggestions pleaseeee

Hi Guys i've never really turned to scoobynet for any advice regarding matters other than the car.

But here goes.

About 2 weeks ago me and my girlfriend of 4years split up. Since then we have talked and understand why it went wrong, and decided that the break was well needed. We have seen each other a few times and things are going strong.

I'm seeing her tomorrow and i gotta do dinner, just wondering what can i cook that will really suprise her and say WOW thats amazing. I'm quite comfortable in the kitchen and have a couple of ideas but i ask you guys for any of "Momma's Secret recipes" Would be looking at mainly a chicken dish possible red meat fish not being top of the list. i've googled but i don't know what to go for

Chinese, Mexican (mild), Indian are favourites greek italian not really.

Any help would be much appreciated

Ben

Order an Indian, get it delivered before she arrives, then stick it in dishes in the oven and let her think you cooked it

A lot less hassle, oh and remember to have wet saucepans on the drainer to make it look like you cooked it

You want to suprise her you said, cook her a pot noodle followed by mandarin oranges and dream topping.

That should suprise her.

Mate, if you think you can solve your relationship issues with a splash of balsamic vinegar over a dandelion & rocket salad, you are seriously deluded.

I would do her something light on the stomach...avoid 'sunday lunch syndrome' if you need to talk afterwards..

Maybe fish with some boiled salad potatos..vivaldi etc..?

wine...soave..

Lamb shanks, as above...lay garlic and rosemary on tinfoil, place shank on top, light sprinkle of herbs and garlic over, 2.5 hrs @ 150 degC.

The knickers will be sniffing the bedroom carpet before you can say....

Yorkshire puds have to be in there..buy some aunt bessies or M&S and crack on you made them..

shredded cabbage with double cream, nutmeg and a bit of S&P is good....

Mashed potatoes..everyone likes mash. Nice with some fresh chives, and mash with real butter. Them vivaldis from sainsburys are my current favourite spuds..a half teaspoon of english mustard will also add to the flavour.

salad doesn't really compliment lamb, stick to your normal roastie type side dishes, but don't stodge her out. the trouble with nice food is that we eat it till we bust....then its

There is some very tasty packaged food to be got, again, sainsbury's or M&S baby leeks & peas are good, need ca splodge of butter.

Personnelly i would go for Fresh Mussells steamed in garlic and butter starter, then Baked salmon with lemon butter, prawns, jacket potato and a bit of salad for a main cousre, then strawberrys and cream for pudding.

Job done, give the old meat and 2 veg a bang of a razor blade and happy days

My god this thread is lke re heat central..............cookin is easy!!!

Personnally I'd have gone for a mozerella basil and tomato salad topped with salt, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Follow it with Duck in pomegranet mollases with rocket salad and finish with...............

chocolate Baby cakes by nigella Lawson!!!!
