Default New winter tyres for Wales....

Hi all,

Just about to set off to snowy Wales. I've got a set of snow tyres on spare alloys, but an unrepairable puncture in one. I've located a pair of Avon winter tourings locally to replace the dead tyre and the other on the same axle, but my question is this: Do I pu the new ones on the front or the back. The old ones are not very old at all (2000 miles max), but are proper m&s falken espias.

So, new ones on the front or back please..?

Ta.
Nige.
PS: South Wales scooby members, whats it like north of Aberdare..?

I live near carmarthen and we've had about 7" this morning and it's still snowing hard! the flakes are massive about the size of a £2 coin!!!!!!

No idea about snow tyres, I choose to stay inside instead

Couple more opinions on the tyres and the conditions would make me a happy bunny....

Gotta decide within the hour...!!

I had 7" this morning too, though luckily it's not still hard, could have been quite embarrassing otherwise.

Swansea has had a bit of snow this morning and driving isn't too clever.

Wish we could fit our snow tyres on ours but the 16" wheels wont get over the bloody brakes now.

The roads are passable with care up to Aberdare, but I don't know about north of Aberdare. The side roads haven't been gritted. About six inches of snow has fallen in last two days.

Well, I made up to Hirwaun and back no trouble with my trusty 2/3rds worn ZZ3's on.
