No experience of one yet, but i've just bought a 2nd hand Beltronics 330 Euro which should be turning up next week...

Reason why i bought it ?? Because it's had great reviews from the people that know about these things, and appears to mostly only be bettered by the 550 model - to be honest never even considered the model you're looking at

Time will tell i guess

I had a Bel 550 - was OK but didnt really trust it - little to no warning for certain cameras - not many false alarms though

I had a Bel 550 for years and it saved my butt a number of times and paid for itself a number of times over.

It packed in so I bought an Origin B2.

IMO a lot better as you pick up Truvelo and SPECS which of course do not emit radar.

And the best thing is I don't get to know where every single automatic door is in the vicinity!!

Sara,

Don't know.

It's 2 Sets. 1 on the dashboard does the Laser & the Gatsos.

The other is by the Radio, it picks up GPS stuff, SPECS, Vans etc, you have to download this a couple of times a week to keep on the radar screen, as it were!.

I think this is the one that "Phoney Tony" and his lot want to ban.

Hope this answers your question.

Kind regards.

Have had my Bel 550 for over 6 years now, good bit of kit, saved me a few times but going off at automatic doors can be a chore. Won`t replace it till it breaks!

The various reviews there are about the place around all things radar/laser detector wise. They have access to a number of different systems and are able to carry out more comparative tests imho between the diverse range of models on offer. In the reviews i've read about them put forward these two systems as some of the best around

Just gotta do a search via google to find them

The Valentine 1 is an excellent bit of kit, very good at live gatso site and with the laser detection - I used one for a number of years, but with so many non-emitting speed traps such as SPECS and Truvelo around now, it can be caught out.

For GATSO's is almost in a class of its own, but the GPS systems (such as the Micro Roadpilot I now use) have the advantage. If I had the cash, Id still get a V1 to run alongside the MRP for laser detection alone..its good, but like all single systems has its limitations.
