Default Resonater Removal...

Any ideas how I remove the resonaters which make the exhaust quieter? Because somehow I have got my car fully decatted from turbo back, and I got it back a lot quieter!!

MY03 STI Jdm

Like the look of your car! Where did you get the metal grill for the front (bit RB320 ish) as it looks great?

even some straight through eahausts have resonated pipes, its the second from last pipe, the one your backbox bolts to.

makes a HUGE difference to the sound of your exhaust

Its actually the WR1 Grill, however It was on the car when I bought it.

I need the top grill aswell but trying to find one of those is like trying to find a carrot in new zealand!!

What bore is your system, and is it a one piece or in segments?

Mine got quieter after sports decat, other decats and remap.

If your center looks like this you can put in a straight through centre and it will get louder.

Question

So I'll leave out the resonator as it will sound better? Or louder? Even on a JDM as they don't make that much noise anyway?

Get rid Smoother acceleration and easier rev control.

Straight through, all fitted at H&S in Basildon by 'Ian the Gent'

My drone is significantly less and almost gone since the remap at mocom which optimised the exhaust changes I made.
