anyone know the number of the ecu in a subaru wrx sti v3 1996 is? and whats the figures on this ecu next to a z4 ecu?

 

A MY97 V3 STI uses a 6S.

 

would a 6k ecu fit?replacing the u8 ecu?

 

I have the same as GC8, it says 6S in big letters then A18-000 D35 unisia jecs corporation.

I dont know about swapping them with other impreza ecu's but would say an Apexi power FC replacement and sell yours would be one way of 'upgrading'.
Although this does cost a lot probably the best bet rather than the cost of a rebuild if something goes wrong?
