Just bought a diagnostic plug and downloaded free software for Subaru faults
Ive recently paid 2 main dealers over £50 each to simply plug in a lead to my car and their laptop, press a couple of buttons to diagnose a fault, (and tell me they can't find a fault with my car), so I've just bought a diagnostic lead for $79, yes dollars, and downloaded some free software called 'ECU explorer', and when the lead arrives in 10 days, I'll be able to reset my ECU, and whenever I need to, read any stored fault codes and descriptions, as well as other things..............I need to read more about it as I'm a novice!

I'm just so fed up of my low turbo boost fault that no one seems able to accurately diagnose exactly WHAT is wrong. (main dealers). I'm still waiting for a 'boost control solenoid' which is being sent to me by the supplying dealer for my car. However, if the boost control solenoid IS faulty, then surely, without fail, it will show up on the diagnostic equipment??
I want to take it to Power Engineering who are local to me and the supplying dealer pay for an accurate diagnosis, which they promised to do effectively.

What happened to "Mutant Matt"? He used to plug his laptop into peoples' cars during meets to show them what was going on, wouldn't mind knowing what software he used.
