Which Impreza should I get?
I need some help, I will be coming into a bit of cash which means I can get a new motor. I was thinking of getting a Subaru Impreza while I am still young enough to not have any commitments and old enough to insure it. I'll have about £8000-9000 to spend was thinking either:
2003 (facelift) WRX
or 2003 (facelift) WRX PPP
or 1999 RB5
What do you think is best?
Or are there any other suggestions for the money? I currently have a Clio 172 and had a Williams before that, so has to be faster than those (so no Civic type-R, etc.) and be not hideous to run (so no Elise S1).
HELP PLEASE!!

2003 WRX PPP, definitely!
It will be the start of an enjoyable and expensive road ahead, with plenty of daily thrills from that car, especially the take off from traffic lights! Try and find one with the Prodrive springs also, as you'll need these, and ideally bigger brakes at some stage.
My Subaru career started with a 2003 WRX, which then had PPP fitted, and at later dates:
Prodrive springs
Prodrive front grill kit
18" gold alloys
Alloy gearknob surround
Momo gear ****
Ferodo DS 2500 brake pads
Probably the best Impreza I've ever had, because it was the first.
Today, 5 Impreza's later, I own a lovely JDM STI 2003, which is giving me a little grief at the moment, but will be sorted in the next few days I'm sure!
Go and test drive a WRX PPP, and when you do, make sure you take a deposit with you, because you'll need it!

STi 5 or STi 6 gets my vote. You should be able to get a near perfect car for that money.
Newer models will be more comfortable/luxurious but higher mileage given your budget. Depends what you want really.
