Should just bond in place as mentioned, but I have to ask, WHY would you want one of these..? It's likely to blow off if you go above 50mph..

Roof vent?

Surely you mean "stick on piece of random fibreglass" as at no point does it vent into the car lol.

Sorry mate, but fakes are a no no in my eyes.

Why not go for a proper roof WRC spec or JDM spec C vent??

Won't come off using the right bonding material? I can be stronger than welding metal to gether? The windows in most cars are bonded in.

I have one slightly larger than that on my RA and it's fine, as long as it has a vent at the rear it WILL NOT come off!!

Mine has also got two pegs that reguire the roof to be drilled as well as bonded, but you can just remove the pegs.

Bonding i agree is mech stronger than todays wleding, the RAF bond their aircraft together, so if it's good enough for them it's ok for us lesser people

Maybe we're just trying to save the guy some embarrassment.

There's a guy living local to me who has stuck a fake carbon scoop on his roof. It can clearly be seen that it has been stuck on.

Every time he passes me I just think '****'.

It could also be the same as boot spoilers , these things only work at high speeds and on extreme tracks , yet we all drive round with the buggers bolted on (for the look of it), alot of things are there for show and if done the right way look fine, The question was are they ok and how to make them look right, Pro boy was doing the right thing asking for advice not a slating. luckly thanks to some on here he has it,

The thing is..spoilers DO work to a degree. they create a downforce..and they were put onto production models due to homologation. what purpose does a fake vent on the roof serve?....bugger all apart from looking like someone went down to halfords..and stuck on a 50 quid plastic non functioning vent on their roof and ruined their car.

people post on here to ask opinions..so don't have a go if you can't take those opinions. majority of serious enthusiasts think they look ****..me included. im guessing this subaru also has lexarse lights..sti decals on a wrx and windows blacker than a tramps teeth.

why not go the whole hog and fit some spinner rims and a nice set of L.E.D washer jets.

Do they **** on they way to tesco, you need to be going at a fair rate before you get any sort of down force.
