dyno plot.
hi all. just thought i,d post up a power graph (at last) of my scooby. just had it done today at powerstation. had the car new and about a month down the road decided on a few mods.
2.5 wrx
all work done at zen.
td04 removed and td05 fitted.
complete miltek decat and uppipe.
sti top mount fitted.
green filter
remap
look at the figures of wheel power and flywheel. there seems to be a big gap. is that right ?

Not sure, but to give you an idea of comparrison -
Mine was rolled sadly due to BP ultimate fuking the boost up on my car, at 313bhp, with 249bhp at the wheels, and 468nm of torque
So you could be losing a hell of a lot of power somewhere, or innacturate rollers maybe

Good power for a WRX mate!
The MAHA RR is geared to give FLYWHEEL power. Dont compare the WHEEL given on this type of RR with others types. The Flywheel power should be as comparable though against other RR's.

ha ha, think i have that fitted to mine. when i went up to zen to have turbo fitted and other bits i also was supposed to have sti top mount fitted but they forgot but said if i came up in a week or so they may have one as a chap was having a complete front mount fitted. i guess that was you then.
how does your car feel with the front mount and td06. you can imagine the smile on my face going from 230 bhp to 340. i couldnt stop grinning all the way back to worcester.

Fantastic pulls in every gear to red line
big inprovement all round no turbo lag either
but it will be going back soon for pistons and rods then i can crank the boost up as its onlt pushing 1.3 bar
can t wait
have to make up excuses so i can go out for a blast

My own car has a similar torque and power curves and feels very rapid from low revs, just compare where torque starts to climb on a 2ltr then you will see the benefit of the 2.5ltr

Sorry, I misread the numbers on the graph (bladdy Nm ). Curve looks lethargic, but the figures are high anyway
Still, when I can get a 2.0 peaking before 2700rpm, you can understand my initial viewpoint

With a minimum of 300 ft lb of torque (Nm/1.356 = ft lb) between 2900 and 6000rpm, that's a nice looking graph/figures that Zen have done for you there.
I'd imagine that this is a rapid WRX on the road.
As a comparison, here’s my graph for a Spec C Type 20 also using a Maha rolling road.

Very good figures, especially as it's at Powerstation (ie one of the more realistic dyno's IMHO). I bet it makes a very quick road car..
Is it a TD05 16g or 18g..?
Also, it does seem that the later (05>) 5sp gearboxes are better able to handle the extra torque, so no need to worry too much about that. (Before someone says it's going to disintegrate in not time..! )

Do you know when Subaru 'uprated' the gearbox for the WRX..? I know you've mentioned this recently, however what exactly did they do, is it likely to improve reliability when running >300 ft-tb..?

If you think that the 2.5 06 WRX PPP is rated at something like 310ft-lbs then given Prodrives cautiousness with regards to warranty (even taking into account their often 'optimistic' figures) it stands to reason that the 5 sp gearbox has been uprated. Probably from the 05 onwards when some gearbox modifications were mentioned in the press release (anyone have a copy of the press release of know of a web page..?).
I'd like to know as my 05 (2.0) is currently running ~340x330 and if my theory is correct then the gearbox should be just fine..
