Thumbs down

As a forthcoming Scooby owner I looked over the net and saw the advert for Scooby Mania.Very Impressive I thought, wanting to fit some upgrades to my forthcomming Scooby WRX and being within striking distance of their Nottingham address I decided on a visit to their premises and their imposing web site. What a dissapointment!, locating (with difficulty) their address, a private house, apparently unoccupied, I phoned...no reply, very dissapointed after a three hour drive, I received a new tel no, no reply, having returned home a further phone call was made and received the comment "well we have moved" further enquiries resulted in the fact that they hold no stock and appear to be nothing more than a third party source. Dont be dissapointed as I was just don`t bother,

Angry

Isn't that a little unfair?

They've just moved.

Waddya expect - all scoob tuners to have a multi million pound warehouse full of stock?

Err -coffee, wake up, smell it.

If you're looking for a corner shop, don't look on the internet.

Well, since you searched the Internet so thoroughly, you'll have seen these threads about ScoobyMania moving to new premises won't you?

http://bbs.sidc.co.uk/messageview.cf...3&threadid=583

http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...ThreadID=50657

Personally, before I made a three hour trip, I'd ring up to find out what awaits me...

Talking

A 3 hour drive without calling first! Can't understand that really. Just from reading this BBS I know that they've moved, and that they're re-jigging their website.
I'm more than happy with the service I've had from them at their old address.
Martin.

I have always got my bits on time from them, or an email telling me of any rare impending delays.......
Good service.
Bit silly not checking first, but one of those unfortunate things I guess.....

Peeps, try not to rise to this sort of thing. We all know Mike T and co are damn good & reliable, and in the process of moving premises.

Red face

I popped over to see the guys at SM when they were at their old premises.....yes, they haven't got nice shiny cabinets with lots of Scooby add-ons in, but what they have got is good down to earth advice from enthusiasts, for enthusiasts.

Might have been easier if you had known they would be around

Speaker,

Apologies for being so sarcastic.

A little time spent on the phone before travelling pays good rewards.

Yep, really sorry about that, though as has been mentioned a phone call first could have avoided disappointment.

Even the old number has a BT recording with our new number on it, and we're only a mile away from where you ended up.

I hope you make it up here again? (Though not sure how a three hour drive equates to being within striking distnce)?

Mike.

You live in Notts and are "within striking distance" yet takes you 3hrs to get there???
I suggest you need a new car and forget about modding the present shed - it must be shagged.
Or perhaps this is all a wind up by a competitor of Mikes?

With regard to my comments made with reference to my car, I don`t have one! ( I sold it and awaiting a new scoob ) read my comment (As a forthcomming Scooby owner). I borrowed a tin box for the three hour round trip, and yes it was in the rush hour and as Scooby Mania are on the other side of Nottingham a trip on the famous..(infamous) ring road with Gatso`s every 100yds Maurice..(Maurice Gatsonides)has a lot to answer for. I appologise to Mike for my perhaps hasty comments. O.K. chaps.

Speaker,

I think you should change your apology of "hasty" comments, to out of order....

Thumbs up

I have bought some morettes from Scoobymania - I ordered them, they came through quickly, I was informed via email and arranged to pick them up from Scoobymania.....
When I got there (without getting lost this time ) Mike and co were very accomodating and unlike some commercial places were happy to sit and chat about scoobs and stuff with cup of tea in hand

So big thumbs up from me

Michelle.
