RB5 Value?
#1
Hi,
In my quest for a beast of some description I have found a nice RB5 but was wondering if it is somewhat steep price-wise...
It has the Prodrive Performance Pack & Listers Motorsport upgrade (276 bhp0 and is in mint condition on a V-plate but they want £19000 for it (it's done 27,000 miles).
here's a pic:-
too much? (yes, I do realise that's in Evo 6/STi 6 territory)
ta,
Matt

I have an RB5 and with a 276 (if reliable) bhp, it seems good value in comparison to the cost of RB5 WR's from other dealers. Does anyone know what the Listers upgrade entails in addition to the PPP.

Hmm,
Good value? I thought it was really steep?
(they want £21k for it! I can get it for £19k)
As for the Listers Motorsport Upgrade, not sure...
they have told me that it has got the prodrive
performance pack and the listers one?!
nice car but not sure about the price...
(did I read somewhere (Top Gear?) that the RB5
was 'better' than the P1?)
ta,
Matt

I have seen this car and it looks pretty good.
19k isnt quite so much when dealers are asking £18 for std MY00 turbos. Have you also considered the P1? - Ive noticed a couple of w plate examples with higher miles on advertised at dealers for £23k.
As for RB5 vs P1 I think some have commented that the performance advantage of the P1 is not really useable on the road.

I know I'm only a new boy, but I would have thought that a P1 would be better mainly for the fact that it was designed to have that kind of performance in the first place. So soon as you start modifying cars away from there original specification do you not run the risk of making them unreliable??
