Cars aren't worth diddly these days ................. the deals you can do, compared to just a few days ago, are amazing - you think they are throwing them away.........but, there are cars as good as the Impreza these days - and the Impreza isn't as well equiped as its competition.

£1500 for a running Impreza is about as low as they can get - so, no surprise there either.

£13k for a Wagon with 150k miles on it?

You've been done up like a kipper mate. You could get a 03 STI with average mileage for that money.

I know what you mean, when you think about it this car was worth, what, 23k 2 years ago, scary really, but he is happy, he also is a keeper of cars so it will be with him for at least 8-10 years before he changes it

btw his old Impreza took a lot of abuse, it was and is f***ed, I am surpised he got that much!

I guess we have the same car, I sometimes think about getting a newer car but then I think there is plenty of life left in the old girl so will keep her for a few more years, I thought about a newer Subaru the other day but I think I will watch them dropin price a bit more.

I enjoy the way you wind people up, you have provided a lot of amusement for me over the last year! Being opinionated is the only way to be

having looked on Autotrader I would say it is average, he is fully aware he probably paid a little bit more from a dealer but there are advantages:

hassle free, old car goes new one arrives, fully serviced with warranty, no mucking around trying to sell old one and buy new one, to him that is worth a lot
the 'LS' model does that make it worth anymore?!

read that the wrong way round, thought he'd baught both pmsl

sounds like he got a good price for his wagon, but still think he piad slightly high for the new one. scoobs arn't selling at min so prices tend to be lower than trader.

yes good point, just because they are advertised for that does not mean they sell for that...

I assure you this has a turbo, according to him it literally stands for 'Leather and Sunroof'

Maybe he meant SL not LS. I just bought a WRX SL Wagon 04 plate from a dealer for 13k and got 1k back for my knackered Brachetta (torn hood, cracked body work etc). Thought that was a good deal as it included the rest of the Subaru warranty plus the difference for the remainder of the year, 30k service & MOT when due as well as sorting out the alloys.

you must be right, because he would never buy a non turbo Impreza! sounds like you got almost exactly the same deal
