Went to look at cars for the missus today.
Day went fine apart from some twit (sp ) decided to take a few layers of paint from my rear bumper while my car was parked on the forecourt.

Old chap nearly drove into it again when moving away and would have probably driven home, if we hadn't just got back from the test drive.

Got his details but I can't decide if its worth a claim or not.

Damage is cosmetic and not obvious (dark green car)

Am considering asking for a small amount of compensation not to go through the insurance.

Do you think it's worth it and how much should I ask for?

If u gona claim, get it done properly and claim the full amount.

If not just leave it, and let the boy know.

I'd get a quote to get it sprayed up then ask if he wants to pay up or go through his insurance (prob not worth it since his excess is prob more).
Sounds like another ropey old driver, might make him more cautious in future!!!
