Red face

Hi lads, as its only my 5th day of scoobiness, and my go go juice is running out, is there a low fuel warning light or is my car just going to stop?

Cheers

There will be about 9 litres of fuel left when it comes on.

Yeap, mine comes on around 10 litres left.

Anyone else find at when cornering at speed with low fuel levels the engine cuts out for a second or so?

orbv,

if the engine is cutting out then this is very bad for the fuel pump.

Apparently the main way to kill a fuel pump is to allow it to try to pump air, as it cavitates and dies soon after - basically dont corner hard on low fuel!

I would treat the light with caution. On smooth constant speed runs (i.e. motorway), the light on mine does not come on until very late.

Just after I got it, the light came on between motorway junctions. I pulled off at the next exit (probably amount 5 miles) to fill up and it ran out as I went around the left hander off the slip road.

No probs with the fuel pump afterwards though...
