Going to work last week I was slowly approaching a roundabout and noticed this little boy running next to the car pointing frantically and yelling to his (totally disinterested mate) he's yelling ...look...look... it's one of them cars....

today I see him again on the cross walk (a bit further up from said roundabout)... half way across he starts leaping up and down yelling and pointing... it's one of those cars...

no guesses for what he's going to buy when he's old enough...

it was soooo cute....

My best story was a couple of years ago at the local garage..

4 caps sitting in golf gti 17/18 ish...
clocking the car.. yeah cool...
see me coming...
look at car...
see me getting closer
realisation dawns...
look at car..look at me
I zap the lock...car goes beep...
now i'm at the car...
screams of 'OH NOOOOOOO' come from caps

i drive off pmsl...
that's what makes having a scoob all worth while
it's a black wrx import..dead cool...

My best story...

I'm driving to a friends house, with 3 female friends in the car.

We over take a couple of cars in Kingston as we head up to north London from Surrey. One of the girls (now my girlfriend) mention that everyone is looking at "Andy and his bitches".

I corrected them and said "They're looking at the car!"

She now realises that it *IS* the car!!!

Heh, I was parking in a supermarket car park at lunchtime and a crowd of school kids walked in front of me, just a little ways ahead, and as I passed they all gave me the thumbs up

I saw them in the supermarket and they were kicking up hell as kids do. Nice to know that the little buggers appreciate a nice car

Had a great one. Shortly after I moved in to my new house and bought the Scoob, I was pulling into the street, and there were these kids (about 8/9) came up to me as I got out the car...

kids, "Aw mister, thats a cool car, how quick is it?"

me, "Its quite fast, hits 60mph in about 5.5 to 6 sec"

kids (excitedly), "Cor blimey - its got one of them valve dumps too hasn't it?"

valve dump - lol - made me laugh Guess they'll be getting an RS Turbo when they grow up then (maybe even a scoob by then as prices come even lower ) lol.

I had a bloke go mental at me when I set his car alarm off with my exhaust!

Not really admiring the car, more of the 'f*ck off you noisy c**t' sort of thing!

BTW - Check out Private, my BB is up for grabs

Sometimes if I manage to leave work early there's usually a group of kids that play near the end of our road. As I pull into the road there's always one that insists it *is* a turbo and another one that says it isn't!

They're only about 6 yrs old too, cuuuute It's like having a little fan club or something!

POC - my bike sets car alarms off all the time, and the cans aren't that loud compared to some race systems.

Hitting the kill-switch can set off 3 or 4 if they're parked close enough, plus you get two 2-foot flames for your troubles...

Tell me more....

I deliberately got not-that-loud cans as I can do without the headaches on long journeys, but having stood 10 feet behind my bike on the dyno I can only liken the volume to a 747 on takeoff F**K*N LOUD on full chat m8! Haven't had the pleasure of hearing a scooby on the dyno as yet though...

My car ran on the Dyno at PE on sat the 17th..... it was erm, interestingly loud!

I just love the sound a bike makes when it has a decent can on it.... you can feel it in ya chest!

Did I mention that my BB is up for grabs in the private section?

POC

[Hijack thread 0n]

I had mine power checked a couple of weeks back at PE. Merv was telling me about an ex Le Mans Ferrari he had on the rollers. They had to close all of the shutters down as it was so loud and the thing was throwing four foot flames out the back

Had to shut the rolling road down in the end because the car was too powerful.

{hijack thread off]

Cheers

POC - like the look of the backbox, haven't seen one of those before. What's all that on the website about the inserts? Can you quieten it a bit?

I'm after a new BB at the mo but want something that's ok at motorway speeds.

The bike is a VTR, basically a 1-litre sports V-twin. There's nothing like a good V-twin...stirs the soul!

I'm always getting admiring glances from all sorts of drivers. Not come up against any 'Caps' yet tho.

One thing I can say ..... I get a lot more respect from our "2 wheeled speed freak friends", especially on M-ways :-)

Respect back.

Cool

Driving through Bristol the other week and these two blokes in a "Eunos Roadster" (imported hairdryer on wheels) with the hood down kept looking over their shoulder and chatting to each other about my Scoob. Thought it would be rude if I didn't blast past them at some point - don't like to disappoint!!

LOL - We are sad bragging about impressing the less fortunate with our cars....
