I had a Harris Hawk once. It's great to interact with a feathered friend.

Good luck with the parrot fella,

I kept my Hawk in a large avairy outside. Unless you know a lot about birds you may not understand the way they behave. For instance Harris Hawks spend a lot of time perched up and not doing much. So her being sat on a bow perch for a long time wasn't really an issue as they do that it the wild. I took her out flying at least 3 times a week.

No offence intended...and i,m sure you looked after the hawk...its just the thought of something that flies being kept in a cage that bothers me..
Is the parrot going to go flying 3 times a week......

We had a Cockatiel for 17 years, it spent most of the day eating the house and tormenting the cat. It was part of the family and treated as such, it had a good life, You could say its cage was our living room,

If you had a Common Buzzard then you should have had enough space for a Harris as they're about the same size. She was called Sasha and she loved chasing squirrels around a very large cemetry near my house. It's a great feeling when she came back to me when i called for her.

My Wife tends to come when I shout her, so thinking of shouting another name, fingers crossed Plan A works
