MY99 key pad trouble,

Default MY99 key pad trouble,

I have a MY99 and the key fob battery went dead this morning, tried to input the key pad code for the first time ever. and nothing!!! alarm continued to sound etc, the code has letters in it i.e F and S? yet no letters on the key bad?? does t his mean i should press * where S is shown on the code? im a little confused and very late for work!!!

should be a 4 digit number code.

there are 4 numbers, but the code starts with an F has 2 numbers then and S then 2 numbers, wondered if the S meant press * and god knows what the F is? it looks like its the origional code printed on the sticky back label supplied with the car from new.

Just type in the numbers and all should be okay,

Mind you, thats providing the code hasn't been changed.

I wasn't the first owner of my car and the previous owner had changed the code and not written it down!!!!!A quick trip to simpsons of swindon and they changed it FOC

So no idea's what the F or the S stand for in the code? it's definatly the origional factory supplied code. but no letters on the key pad

I have a silver sticker with the 4 digit code on. I have no idea what you're on about.

oh dear!!! that doesn't sound good, your about the 6th person today who has mentioned the silver sticker, god only knows what this code is that ive been given then!!! lets just hope to high heavens that when i put fresh batterys in my key fob that it works!!! im stuck driving my vectra till then!!!

problem solved 2 new fob batterys( CR2500 incase anyone has the same problem) from halfords almost extortion at over 5 quid!! but worth it to have my scoob back on the road!!
