hello all, any advice?
i am thinking about importing myself a impreza coupe, but am wondering how to register the vehicle?
i have spoken to an importer who tells me that if the car is new than 1997 then it will need an esva?
but he also tells me that he cannot get hold of a model report for a coupe?
that then poses me the problem of registration?
i seen a few coupe's on here that must surely be newer than 1997, so how are they reg'd? did they have to go thru the esva?
any advice would be greatly apprieciated.

A previous loop-hole was closed in April 2004 (aka the disabled loop-hole). The majority of cars that youve seen will have been either tested, or had their tests booked (months ahead in some cases), before then. As you have been told, there isnt a MR available for any two door Impreza, so youre looking at V3s only for the time being. In about May of next year you could start looking for an early V4.....

if i were to buy one then?
and keep it as a track car i.e unregistered? could i then wait until it is old enought just to register? i think its 10 years old ???? or will the vehcile still have to be esva'd?
the reason being i have seen a couple of coupe's that i am interested in and they are my98 coupe's if i used it as a track car until 2008 could i then register it legitimately without a model report etc?
many thanks
