Is there an avaliable replacement for the uk turbo 2000 ariel wanting rid of the ugly thing.

Are you after a complete replacement somewhere else on the car, side of boot or roof, or are you after a replacement to fit the existing hole?

Yeah it kinda bugs me too, mainly because its manual - I have to push it down each time I put the car in the garage, if I reversed out with the ariel up it would be ripped off.

From a distance the car looks like a remote control with the long flappy ariel sticking out the top.

I quite like the ariel placement on my car. The ones I do not like are the automatic ones in the rear quarter panels.

I dont mind where it is its the fact that it looks a **** when its up and thet its manual so u have to put it up n down all the time just gets annoying.

Mine has some play in the tube, if I pull up with the radio off, I hear this ding ding ding noise above my head as teh rod flaps about.

On my first Impreza once when I was extending the ariel the nobby bit at the end came off and I lost it

Thats gutted.

I always put the thing down when I park up. It looks like it would be tempting to the scum to ping it and snap it.
