Default Clueless noob says hi! And seeks advice

Hi guys and girls I'm currently in the market for a scooby after deciding to part with my beloved Supra tt. I'm hoping to get an sti between the 1998-2000 models.

My questions are how much should I be looking to pay for said models, what are the common faults on them and What kind of servicing do they require?

Cheers

Why are you selling a TT to buy an old STI??

Get yourself a new STI!

Well it's all about the cash fella, I like the new shape but I cant justify the extra chunk of change to the other half. Plus I miss having a car that can corner well I used to have a 106 gti ( I know its not the quickest thing on tarmac but that thing could corner some!) The supe is phenominal in a straight line but It does'nt instill confidence on the twisties thats for sure.

So it seems that this is my best bet.

totally understand after having a surpa. lovely engines though!

Have a look on pistonheads, The prices for STI's really depend on the condition. Becareful because there are so many sheds around!

I'm still up in the air about that at the moment but I'm leaning toward the
eight to nine thousand region.

Indeed that engine note is automotive bliss IMO.
