Default Removing Air con?

From a classic, just wondered if anyone knows how much it all weighs, with fluid etc and which parts can be easily removed?

pump condensor, fans, radiator and pipework to the bulkhead are the easy bits.
Dash has to come out if you want the rest out.
I weighed a Ford Focus aicon I removed ages ago, it was like 10-15kg

LOL well after going to all the trouble of taking your aircon out you'd have to try and justify it some way I suppose...

If you're that desperate to go faster, why not just run with half a tank of fuel the whole time. That'll take 20-30kg off very easily. Costs nothing and you keep your aircon. Or go on a diet. Although you should sweat off a couple of stone sitting in traffic jams next summer in 35C heat without your aircon! :-)

I got the air con pump out from behind the dash by removing the glove box then its easy to reach the rest. It does weigh a bit because of the unit itself, rad etc

But the main reason people remove them and correct me if im wrong - but the air con is belt driving , there for uses a couple of the engines ponys to move the belt. So there for by removing the air con you gain a tiny bit off weight, and also should see a bhp or two extra lol . Done mine never looked back, cant say i noticed any difference but didnt expect to
