Of course they work. Just make sure you buy him a Scalextric for Xmas
It is after all a performance 4 door saloon which suits the family.

Had my scoob scratched by my beloved son twice in two weeks, apprently his brakes on his bike failed while trying to negotiate a two foot gap on gravel at approx 10-15 mph......!!!
So no kids and scoobs don't match.
Mark.

Took my daughter(10yrs old) to the Blackpool Big One,what did she enjoy the most?

No it was not the illumanations(sp)but 150+ Scoobs parked up revving and popping.

Go on dad rev it, she was saying as we were stuck in all the traffic.

The worrying part was that you exceeded the speed limit, to the point of worrying about speed camersa, while your child was in the car! Never mind.

My two kids LOVED my Scoobs, they didn't like it when I changed to the S4.

The comments were " Daddy, can we make the new car sound like the old one, I liked that." (Scoobysport system )

My youngest though really put me out. When asked whether or not she liked the new car, she replied, "No, it hurts my neck"

I would say yes.
I have three daughters ,6,5, and 1 year old. Before the scoob I had a 406 estate which had plenty of room but when we changed to the scoob we just made a small sacrafic of less room but way more fun.
And the kids love the car , they are very proud and tell all their mates. Sophie loves me to pick her up from school(5yrs old) and asks to rev the car to show to her mates.
They come along to most of the shows too. Which gives them something to talk about on a Monday morning. Both the older girls even had a passenger ride in the rally cars at the Welsh Motor show and loved it

When my first son came along I changed from a 3-door Sierra Cosworth to a much more practical 4-Door Subaru .

We now have 2 sons (5 & 2) and I'm on my 3rd Scoob

Don't listen to the people carrier robots : " Ooh!...I've....got...a...baby...I...must....have.. ..people....carrier...or...family...will....not... .be....able....to....leave....house"

Scoobs have 4-Doors (5 if you must), child locking safety belts in the rear (pull the the belts right out then let then go in again, you'll see what I mean) and a boot big enough for a Pram and a buggy.

You don't have to drive like a nutter in them all the time ya know....

Got my Scoob when my youngest was 8. For three or four years, I couldn't go anywhere in it without taking him.......even a trip to the shops would do it

Do what my dad did and teach your son how to change exhausts, replace air filters, change headlights, clean a car properly and eventually move onto building their own car!

I would change the straight through pipe for a Cat every MOT time when I was eight and my dad had his elise. Now I'm building a locost (for him apparantly) and doing up his scoob for him!

Nothing wrong with a sensible 4 door family saloon - much better than 1 of those nasty 2 door hot hatch thingies.

My 2 and 1/2 year old nephew spotted an Impreza while out with my mum, he told her it was an Impreza like his uncle has and she told him it wasn't, he insisted so she looked at the boot and surprise surprise she was wrong and he was right. I was even more impressed when I found out it was a different model to mine and a different colour. Kids just love em!

Got 3 child seats in the back of my saloon. Plenty of room for day to day plus a week in France. My 3 yr old daughter spots Scoobys and has done for about a year. Boys were the same. Its a family car afterall

got 2 daughters 15 & 11, both love the scoob, always spotting subaru's,evo's etc.... they both know what a decat and remap are . my eldest is right into the cars, goes to shows with me and loves driving the Clios at Oulton Park. So much so i have bought her an Escort cabriolet to learn to drive in and maintain . so yes kids and scoobs , wife and scoobs she just doesn't understand you need a remap for better fuel consumption
