Road Angel any good?
I am currently thinking of buying a road angel for all those goverment money making boxes that are on the roads. I used to have a radar detector many years ago but it just seemed to go off at any time for no reason. What i want to know is are these new ones any good etc and how much warning do they actually give.

very good imo i never drive without it in the car, normally a hill near where i live has police don the bottom, my road angel lets me know way before i can see them or the can see me
worth evrry penny, and very usefull as an accurate speedo that you don't have to be looking through the steering wheel to see

I had one for 3 months, picked up 6 points and sold it on eBay with 9 months subs left! The money from eBay went towards my higher insurance premium!
Any good?
In a word....

I drive between 50 and 100k per year, I have a road angel and tomtom system.
I had to drive a van home without both on Saturday (cheshire - Kent) and I was completly lost without it. It normally beeps and flashes all the time so you have plenty of warning when you are coming up to a camera zone, (you eventually get used to it) BUT without it I had to keep slamming on the brakes as I am normally in unfarmiliar areas so I dont actually know the speed limit for the road.
Would never be without it again, I normally pay £150 from ebay for a recon one, theres no need to pay £300 for a new one!
