I have put an extensive review and chapter list on the IWOC website.

http://www.iwoc.co.uk/books.html

The SIDC, Scoobynet, IWOC and even the P1 WOC get a mention in the appendices!

It is an excellent book and I doubt anyone would really be disapointed with this one. The history and technical specifications covered are pretty comprehensive including the Japanese spec. STi. As one of the SIDC FAQ authors my first thought was "oh well we might as well pack up and go home".

The only thing I would say is that it misses out on the real technical stuff such as modifications and how the car/engine works. With only one chapter on owning/buying and another on modifying, the title "Buying, enjoying, maintaining and modifying" could be slightly misrepresentative. There are also some errors which will prove interesting in flame wars to come

Regards

Steve

Thumbs down

I'v just got the book and while I agree there are some interesting chapters it is definitely NOT a technical book. In fact if you were interested in buying, maintaining and modifying an Impreza then forget it - there's a lot more info available on ScoobyNet and SIDC FAQ!

In summary: an interesting book about imprezas, but lacking in any technical information. I would say the title is misleading.

Cheers,

Andy

Unhappy

I agree with Andy.

I was a bit disapointed with tech content. I was after a more traditional Haynes nut & bolts book.

Question

Are there any technical manuals out there.
