Cheers for the replies the one above looks v.nice loving the dark wheels

Are the quickshifts on fleabay any good - seem cheap but is it a case of u get what u pay for? Also how easy to fit!!

Having one slight prob with the car - when cold and just off boost 2-2.5k and on light throttle the car 'surges' a bit - any ideas? seems to get better when warm??doesnt completely go though!

Cheers for the welcome

The 'surging' is a common problem on a 99/00 classic. But it should go when warmed up. Basically it's the lambda sensor trying to constantly adusting the mixture for emission purposes. It struggles to do this acuaratly until its fully warmed up.
If it is still there when hot, you may need a new one.

Don'y need to change the MAF or the lambda. Its a characteristic of 99/00 MY UK cars. Using 97 RON helped mine. Nice car.

Well I have just dis-conected the lambda sensor to see if it made a difference. The cold surging/pulsing has completly gone. Hadn't driven the scoob today so the engine was definatly cold.
Wondering what this means. Will a lambda sensor improve things? Any long term effects by dis-connecting it?
Don't mean to hi-jack your thread bud, but it may help you out too!

Hey no worries - hope we can sort it out

Does this mean that it is something we should just live with?

Wouldnt thought it would be good to run the car without the lambda?

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Cheers Davy b

Anybody had any experience with the fleabay quickshifts?
