Hey,

can aybody tell me the best exhaust system to fit onto my Impreza Sport Special to give it the best sounding and idleing note possible.

I would like it to have that distinctive "growl", but iam not keen on Powerflow or custom made exhausts as they arent up to the quality.

But the car is a non turbo model, the bore sizes will be totally different, i dont know of any companies that do non turbo exhausts, althoughim sure there are some out there.

Alrite mate, ive got a magnex downpipe with a hayward and scott middle and a jap style back box. Growls like a beast!

The noise that youre looking for comes from the Turbos compromised unequal length manifolds. Sport models dont have unequal length manifolds so you arent going to get the noise. I have seen a firm selling a stupid unequal length manifold for a NA car for this very reason; but what sort of f*ckwit would buy that eh?

The vortex afterburner SPORT version from scoobyworld has a 2" pipe that fits directly onto the centre section with no modification needed. This WILL give you a super roaring sound

You CAN get a burble noise if you buy a Borla Manifold (it is unequal length) and will make you sound just as good as a turbo version combined with the vortex.

Isnt the noise due to restrictions caused by the unequal headers? Why would you want to add restrictions just to get a burble
