it's just a machine that I own that I have

Basically I create you a unix account, say

I've been looking for decent webhosting for a very long time , 6 months now.. and am not going to fall into the trap of a reseller out on his own - fell into this before and now the person i was in contact with has decided to leave webhosting and i'm stuck as i cannot contact the original server i am on. I need contact with the main server company or the main bloke.

I tried IT Worldwide by e-mail twice (who do 22b.com) asking them to do my hosting but no one ever replied - great way to lose business and keep a professional reputation i would say![/quote]

doh!

What I meant to say was...

I just have the machine at work, it is just
a development/testbed really.

There is technically no reason that I can't host 'proper' .com type sites, in fact I am working on one on that box now.

However...remember that because it's free to you chaps there are no guarantees of uptime, performance, service levels, if it dies it dies :O)

ta,
Matt
