Newage owners- Fuel tank size..?
It's been asked a few times, but what's the most you've ever been able to put into your newage fuel tank..? Preferably from virtually empty..
Book says 60ltrs (~13gal) but, even necking it, I've only ever got max 55lts from running on fumes. Maybe there's more left in the tank from fuel light than I think..
Your experiences would help..

I read on a thread a month or so ago that the tank still had 2 gallons (!)
left in it when the light comes on. That's just over 9 litres (there are 4.544 litres to the UK gallon).
I've never put more than 52 litres in. But based on the above and the manual, seems it does have a 60 litre tank ~ you just have a fair bit of fuel left when that wee light comes on !!

I just put in 51.8 litres tonight and that was 2 miles after the light had come on so if it does take 60 litres then you have plenty spare. I had done 304 miles since the last fill which is better than usual. Dont know if this was due to lots of 60mph commuting this week or switching to V Power

do early wrx jap imports only have a 50 litre tank. mine took 30 litres and was hovering between the 1/4 and 1/2 mark... never seem to run out of petrol... but i only average 150-180 miles a week. think £26.50 gave me nearly 31 litres to fill her up this week from 140 miles, but i was caning it on my favoured roads...

i can confirm that even with the light on there is at least 1.5 gallons left, maybe even 2.
Watching mine till i lose my bottle and have to get petrol, i still only got 52 ltrs into it, so even though the light had been on for miles i still had over a gallon left! LOL.
But anyway, suffice to say, you know you are safe if you are miles away from a garage and the light comes on.
I really would sooner that happen, than run out 5 miles later.

Definately 60 litres maybe 62 if you brim it. Most i've put in the STi5 is actually 62.1 and I still was not fuel cutting, most in my '03 JDM Sti was 59.8.
Light tends to come on around 48/50 litres

heres what you do, carry a gallon container filled with gas"petrol" in your "boot" or trunk as we say in the states, and run it till its empty , put in the gallon, go you a gas station,"petrol" and fill it up and take into account that 1 gallon minus some from the drive there. there you have it!
