Clarkson is digging in for a fight, quote from him in the Sun re Top Gear:
'Somehow I doubt it though. The campaign to have us taken off the air — sparked curiously, by the BBC’s own news website — will now be ramped up, fuelled by the environmentalists and spearheaded by muddle-headed road safety campaigners.

i thiknk for once public opinion is behind the program and far out weighs the pc ***** trying to get it stopped.
if you don't wanna see it, turn the tv off, don't impose your will on me!!!!

I don't like the soaps so I don't watch them.
They cover rape, murder, abuse, incest etc etc. If you want to ban something ban them.
Top Gear is great entertainment and a worthwhile use of my TV licence money.

Noticed there's a petition going to support topgear and keep it on the air.
Have to agree for me Topgear is the only program that I watch on the BBC.

to be honest with working nights all the time, all i ever really watch on the beeb is eastenders (boooo i know but its funny), motd on a sat night, any live football involving my teams, and topgear (whether it be re runs or new episodes)... if tg was a mediocre motoring programme like the cheap skyone spinoffs, not that many people would be bothered, another would pop up, but tg is a legend of a programme, and would be sorely missed by those like me; like for instance when motd went to itv as "the premiership" gutted.
long live "the best motoring programme in the world" i say, bugger the enviromentalists, and snobby beauricrats who want us wrapped in cotton wool...

Topgear is the only motor program with that special something about it and like others have said the more they try to bann it the more popular it will get. Dam those idiots who have nothing in there lives so pick on us topgear fans.

The BBC have indefinately posponed the new series of Top Gear until Richard is out of hosptial, and fit.
They've stopped all the re-run too.

unfortunatly people so get hurt carrying out their jobs, for instance rally drivers have been killed recently, did they stop showing it on tv? no, so why should top gear stop, im sure there were a hell of a lot of healt and safety issues that had to be addressed before the runs he made. it was just an accident that could have happened at anytime for any show.
