New Member - needs advice please
Evening everyone.
I'm trading my Black 04 CTR with 18k and aircon for an 05 WRX with PPP.
The dealer is asking 15,995 for the Scooby and giving me 11k for the CTR.
I dont want to pay any more than 3k in additon to my CTR.
Q - Has anyone traded from CTR to Scooby and got a good deal somewhere?
Q - Anyone know any good dealers who are keen to sell quickly?
Cheers
Gary

Seems like a pretty good price for the CTR IMO, then again the WRX price seems a bit high. I sold my 02 CTR privately with 28k on for £9500 a year ago and paid £16000 for a MY 2003 STi PPP, if he won't budge on the £3k u wanna pay, walk away, i bet he'll be on the phone within the hour with a better offer, if not there's plenty of good Newage cars about

If your CTR is 04/04 plate and perfect its current Glass Guide figure is around£11,300 to £11,850 plus a liitle upward adjustment for below ave miles, so £11k is not miles away as a trade in figure. As stated you should acheive around £12,500/£13,000 selling your car yourself. The price of the scoob sound highish as you can buy a new wrx (discount importers) for £15k, if you dont want grey import it still has an impact on UK prices. New model import or old Uk car? Good luck anyway

Make Subaru Excellent condition £12700
Model Impreza Average condition £11450
Variant 4 door Saloon Manual
Below average condition
£10200
Engine 2.0 Petrol Retail £14800
Trim WRX Cost new £20052
Year/Plate 2005 05
Mileage 7,000
retail at 14.8 so add in PPP and the deal is not bad but i recon worth pushing a bit harder. Offer to sign there & then if he does a better deal & if not make to walk out (you can always go back if you really want it at his original offer)

I've just spoken to dealer again and offered to put an extra £500 to my 3k - Ive tried to push it since last sunday and they are refusing to budge.
Id be happy with a PPP WRX from a main dealer for that price I think.
I'm just struggling to get a good trade price for my CTR of them - but dont want the hassle of selling and buying private so I'm prepared to pay a little bit more.
The deal would work out like this.
11k for my CTR + 3.5K Cash for a car listed at £15995.
Not a stonking deal - but not a bad one either I suppose.
What do you wreckon?

Have a look for used on subaru.co.uk £15995 for that year and with PPP looks quite good.
Have you tried offerring your car direct to a Honda dealer, he may well buy it off you for cash.

Rang honda (my original dealer) today and they were'nt interested.
I found the car that I'm after on Subaru.co.uk
going to ring another dealer now.

Gary, the dealer will never give his very, very best price on the phone as you might just be shopping about and that gives you the chance to play one deal off another, If you go there in person it proves you are serious and they will treat that with more respect that a "possible phone sale" dont know if it will help but if they are local in might be worth it.

I'm a loyal bloke and I'm trying to do a deal with him as I dont mess people about and he was a canny lad.
So today I just called another dealer to see what they could do - but I was totallly honest with him and told him the full story.
