I have an '03 blobby, but I don't really understand Subaru's design motivations. The classic shape was immensely popular and could have just been slightly redesigned in 2001 as it is all same chassis anyway. How the bugeye got past the first artist's impression is astonishing. That said with the Morette lamps etc they do look OK. The blobeye was a bit of a return to form and generally better looking and selling pretty well, so why hash it up yet again with another controversial Seat'esque design that isn't proving terribly popular? 4 incarnations within 6 years, even Dr Who can't match that!

I personally prefer the look of the Blobeye, which is why I bought one over the Seat-rip-off MY06. Plus I prefer the Blob's standard rear lights, interior and wheels. Both the WRX's were very similar to drive mind.

That is like comparing a bug wrx to a blob sti.

The hawk is like the bug for me. When it first came out I really hated it and they both grew on me. The blob I'm really indifferent towards.

Standard WRX hawkeyes look crap IMO - although modded ones that have nice alloys, lowered etc. i.r. Spec C / Type 25 look great.

agreed the hawkeye looks more menacing in STI and upwards spec, but the standard WRX look pretty lame IMO
so im sticking ith the MY05 WRX for now.
Plus, those rear light, or more comonly known as ****** lights up in the north east, they are a feeble effort to revise the backend.
And yes you could switch them for the 05 light, but come on, why should you have or need to on 20Ks worth of car
