Over 100 mph should be instant ban, 140 well it could be a loooooong ban and if they are feeling like making an example prison.. Oh yes as Brun said a big fine too just for good measure.

My dear " wifelet" was clocked in her Scoob doing 85mph into road
works which were 40mph.
Our kid was in the back being sick everwhere and, when she looked back at the road ( I know she should have ignored stuff in the back and kept her eye on the road ) it went from a 3 lane Motorway into a 2 lane Road Work 40 mph.
She was in the outside lane and, all the motors closed down the gap ( I have to say that, if I was on the inside lanes & saw her coming, I would have thought, sod you, join the rest of us).
As she said to the Judge, if she hadn't had such a quick car and, managed to get into the gap she wouldn't have been there on the day to answr the charge.
£125 Fine and 1 month ban plus 3 points.
Good luck.

Just my thoughts, as a friend of mine was stopped doing 110mph and he was banned for 12 months and £250 fine.

i would wxpect if it was me, i would try at all costs to get off with it at first.
various different routes you can take to do this, there a re ways and means.
if this is real info for a real case, do nothing till you have visited the following website, that is providing you have done nothing so far.

that is what i would do,
Not that i would ever dream of doing over 70 mph in my car on any road lol

Hopefully 140 in a 70 would bring a 2 year ban and four figure fine regardless of time and circumstance (none of this '3am no other cars bull****' etc )...
66 in a 40 should bring 6 points and three figure fine unless a soft judge was sitting in the leather chair that day in which case it may be less...
