Battery replaced
Just a note to say thanks to all who recommended the trip to Costco for a Bosch Asia Silver 6DA. Fitted it today (dressed like a flippin spaceman, insulated to the nuts, coz I'm a right soft tart when it comes to anything eletrical) and if I can do it anyone can. Car seems to burst into life compared to the OEM battery startup (maybe thats just pyschological)
Hopefully the "3 days dead as a dodo" scenario is well behind me now, although god only knows why it still exists from all the posts Ive read. You'd think they'd have fixed that by now....unless Subaru have shares in the Bosch battery sales division ?!?!?!?!?

Might have been me with the Costco and Bosch 6DA recommendation. No problems since putting mine on. I was very careful too not to short anything as my mate who did oval racing had a couple of batteries (used 24 volt for starting) explode very near his face when he shorted out to the bodywork. We had 2 trips to hospitals that night to see specialists and it burnt the filters off his eyes apparently. He couldn't stand daylight for a week or more. Even inside with the curtains drawn and sunglasses on was painful.
