Virtually all imported Classics are incorrectly registered by the DVLA.

Agreed. My old car (JDM STi Ver V) was logged as just an Impreza, no model at all! DVLA changed it for me upon receipt of a letter though.

As Terminator's post,

Many imports are incorrectly logged by the DVLA.

Enjoy the motor mate. I have an RA too and they are monsters.

LOL its funny when you give your reg No. to the insurance Co. and they quote you for a 1.8 GL - don't be tempted to take that quote

When I sold my V1 STi, some chav from Manchester bought it and looked at the log book which said Impreza GL, and he said to me, I can insure this as a non turbo and get away with it!
It's getting common, especially with young drivers who can't really afford these cars.

Id suggest not dicking about with it if you dont understand it. Itll probably end up being completely f*cked. The boost gauge and dump valve and wicked neon route is often trodden.....

i have to agree with GC8 i wouldn't fit one myself . I did consider it a while back to try and cure an overboost problem . Then i read somewhere how they by pass the boost solenoid and take all boost control away from your ecu. Hence no safe mode.
