Blackjax promlems...
This is now the 2nd time that my dad has entered the wrong code in the blackjax and its immobilized the car as a result. The first time I had to call out the engineer who fitted the system, and was told that the unit was faulty. Clifford replaced it for a new unit.
He has again immobilized the car. Ive tried waiting with the key in the ignition for about half and hour and entered the code. No joy!!!!!
HELP.....

Go to an abandoned church at midnight, walk round it backwards 13 times saying the lords prayer while holding a crucifix upside down. Return to your car in the morning and try again
Failing that, enter the code before turning the ignition then try the ignition and enter the code one more time for luck. That worked for me the one and only time I had a "Blackjax Spasm"

i feel like a bit of an idiot having to phone the engineer out again....
but what normally would be done? ive tried waiting with key in ignition for about 20-30 mins not pressing a thing, then entering code.

just had an idea ...
if i disconnect the battery on the car, will this not reset the blackjax. Then simply re-enter the code....
I think ill have a job after work tonight taking out the rear seats to get to the battery on the merc. wish me luck...

Turn ignition off and wait a few seconds before turning it back on. Enter code (the right one) and it should work. After entering the code if you immediately press and hold the star key until the light stays solid red. This is valet mode and effectively disables the system until you put your code in again.
