hi,looks a stunning example that! its easy worth 5k..the milage isnt a problem but make sure they have had the cambelt done!
also check its got full service history, theres no rust anywhere and check the carpet for any damp areas incase of water leaks..
look for any oil under the engine and check the turbo doesnt smoke when you boot it

yep, looks ok on paper, although styling mods are bit bling for my tastes...wagons are much more classy...
I think standard output from the 99MY is 215bhp so a dyno result for 233(bhp?) suggests the induction & exhaust has been freed up nicely. There's no mention of the exhaust mods but the backbox looks like a scoobysport/h&s job to me.
My 97MY has a scoobysport back-box and de-cat downpipe and passes emissions but you might want to get confirmation that the MOT was passed without any messing about with cats, - you might even find that it's got a sports-cat which would be a major bonus.
If it's your first time test driving a scooby then I think you'll be too busy grinning to pay much attention on checking out the car, - I know I was!!...
Power delivery should be smooth across the rev-range, try accelerating from about 1000rpm-3000rpm in 4th gear at 50% and full-throttle and look out for surges, hesitations, or general lumpyness which might indicate dodgy harware or crap aftermarket mapping, etc.
check gearbox and diff casings for signs of leaks, - classics have kak gearshifts as a rule, but if you don't rush it you should be able to select and engage the next gear without too much drama. If not then the synchros might be on the way out.
On hard accels in low gears you might feel a nasty thump from the rear after you tip-in, - this is'nt too much to worry about, - the standard transmission mount on the classic is'nt great and can be upgraded easily.
.....Good Luck

Quick RAC check shows last change of keeper as 15/07/06, the add says they have had the car for 9 months ?
Also manufactured date is wrong, RAC showing as 31/12/99. T plate would be be early 1999.
Could just be error’s on the RAC database, but I would certainly check it out.
