Rapid acceleration = collapsing drivers seat
I knew my type r was fast but nothing prepared me for the experience this morning.
Gap in the traffic, fast A road and a slow white van, mirroir, indicated, move out, accelerated, firestorm exhaust sounded lovely, then Bang. The driver seat totally collapsed!! Managed to get past ok, just, and then inspected the damage. The left hand side of the seat had pulled away from the support and the back of the seat had then collapsed.
Struggled into work, and retrieved what looks like a black plastic spacer which has been shattered. With a bit of help got the side back onto the support and it seems to fit better without the spacer.
As the wife had the car all day yesterday, and so did a Subaru dealer repairing the morettes, I suppose I could blame either of them, but i have never heard of anything like this before.
