2K upwards i would have said mateand i would have expected that to be 3rd party.

in 2002, i paid £1900 for a UK turbo FC and that was me being 21 with 4 yrs NCB

have you tried reading trough the insurance section, there are quite a few posts regarding young owners in there

There's no way i'd pay 2k insurance for 3rd party insurance on a 7k car, with the subaru image. You're shafted if it's stolen! At least 3PF&T.

Right. I was gonna say, £2k for 3PO (not CP- ) that would've been ridiculous.

Why don't you just spend 10 minutes on the net looking for quotes?
Or sometimes clubs have special discounts, but at 19, don't expect anything sensible.

adding the fire n theft wont increase the policy by much TBH, the fact that he is 19, male is gonna ramp it up no end.

i considered £1900 FC on a UK turbo to be reasonable back in 2002, problem now is, there are so many being crashed and stolen, the premiums are shifting sky high for all ages and sex.

i would be very suprised if he can get his own policy on a UK turbo for sub 2K

but i stand hear to be corrected, good luck fella

john

oh, you could try putting on ur parents, as named drivers, my mother reduces mine by £450, and this years renewall is £900 on a UK MY05 WRX PPP, 4 yrs NCB protected now. Through Aplan

I got a really good quote from the RAC team But, the insurance company i'm with have now matched it. I know the age difference is quite a big step up, but they might be good with younger drivers.

Default Barclays

Odd, I know, but try Barclays online (www.barclays.co.uk/insurance)- they beat every other company by a long way for me, including the so-called specialists. Not just for the scoob either, previous cars and the wife's Pug. Mind you, they are underwritten by Norwich Union, who have just announced a huge hike in premiums due to the amount of 'personal accident' claims and uninsured w**kers on the roads...
