Default How much power should I get with this upgrade?

I would like to know (roughly) what power my car could be running once fitted with the following, it’s a 2003 WRX with 3” de-cat straight through exhaust (currently producing 264 BHP and similar torque)

STI 8 Bottom End (2.0L)
VF34 Turbo
Uprated Injectors (700cc+?)
Uprated Fuel Pump
EcuTEK Remap
STI Cams, P1 Head, STI Valves
Decat Up-pipe
Exedie single plate race clutch, complete with flywheel
New K&N panel filter

Cheers all!

What do I need to hit 380? Or isn't it as simple as that?

The bottom end, crank and rods are kaput on the car at the moment, just to get it back on the road is 2.5K, then there's all the hassle of selling, transfering private plates etc, and probably only get 10k for it, then can only afford another 3k to buy a newer car, and an sti is only running 280bhp with resonable mileage....

but then again!!! THIS IS MY DILEMA...

i wouldn't bother with changing the heads \ cams unless you are going to fit a bigger turbo ( or plan in future )

my 02 wrx made 386 bhp on a roger clark turbo on std internals running 1.4 ish boost
simular spec P1's seem to make 400 + bhp running 1.5 bar boost with the same turbo

one day soon i will be in the same position as you and this will be my first step

Yes, IIRC it is a GT35 with a P18 exhaust housing, so the turbine wheel is significantly larger than that of a 20g. However the exhaust housing is not which is why it doesnt make a rediculous amount more power than a 20g.

I have a similar thing with my GT30, although my housing is larger than the P18. Hence capable of potentially more peak power, despite having a slightly smaller wheel than a GT35...but much bigger than the 20g (44lb/min for a 20g vs 55lb/min for my GT30)

Hope that makes sense.....

Im with rich on the dont bother changing cams/heads for this level though.

Neil I think Mikey ment do i think heads need replacing on a vf34 or 20g

but for the record my turbo is a gt35 p18 from RCM.... l doubt it is a garret 35wheel in there may be a 30, i don't think you could hybrid a 35 wheel with a p18... why they call it that i don't know

Mikey something you have missed off your list if your wanting to get close to 400 is a Front mount intercooler

Cheers Rich, the bill is close to 6K already so I'll have to wait on for the FMIC... cheers anyway!

but if you ditched the heads then you could I dont think its worth upgrading those at this level again, as Rich has said, he gets 386 with standard UK heads, and im aiming to get around 420 with the exact same UK heads too....so if you chopped that cost off, how much would it then be?

they arent "as" good as STI ones (not quite as agressive cam timing) but they arent crap either with the right mapping....

Would you get them or not? Should I put the money into a FMIC?

Althoguh STI5 heads for 500 quid does sound quite a good deal!
