Of course he would. You will get a better price if you sell privately than you would as a trade-in every day.

I have a classic MY00 Red Mica Met, cream leather and sunroof on an x plate went to the dealers over the weekend looking for a part-x price and they at first offered me 5,800 I got that upto the 7k mark and did not progress any further and for a splendid example with only 48K like mine was expecting a little more.

So considering you have the next generation of vehicle as well I would of though you should indeed get more £ for your car than mine, I think someone is taking the p*** there, just trying to make more than the book price when they come to shift it on!!!

dont forget a new one can be had for c £14k (2.5) and people are still asking more for 2 yr old cars......

always a huge gulf between what people ask / expect and actual selling value...

Just had a look on www.wisebuyers.co.uk , and prices for trade-in coming up at between £6.5k and £7.3 - depending on what reg 01 it is.

This is for a standard WRX though, not PPP.

If you're not happy with the px quote then sell the car elsewhere.

7k for a classic px price is quite a good quote I think. I have seen a mint 30k for 6k in the trader.

I for one buy privately and sell privately and bypass garages althogether.

A car is only worth what sum1 is willing to pay for it!!

remember, the bugeye's are classed as the worst scoob and hence have lost alot of value!

BugEyes are REALLY hard to sell!!!!

They are an insult to common good taste - they are the ugliest cars ever to grace tarmac ... of course they will not offer good money!

Now, if you had a MY00 Classic, THEN you would get £8k Part Ex.

Demand see??

I guess you have a classic then Pete?
Its my opinion that bugeyes are the best, but maybe I`m a bit impartial as I own one. To me all Scoobs are classic in whatever shape or form.
I am just very proud to be in such a trusted marque as Subaru.
And own one

Nice one Pete

At the end of the day, we all drive Scoobys in one shape or form, so lets have no qualms eh?
From Classic to Hawkeye, I love em all.

I saw this the other day at the dealer to ... but the price has gone up 3k?!?

Also you can get them new from motor houses for 15k and the second you drive off the forecourt your warranty is back with the Subaru dealer anyway!

Mines worth nothing i imagine :-( Subaru offered like 4200 for it a while back.. Il sell private tho if I ever sell..
