Needed - Substantiated 0-60mph times of modified Subarus (up to 400bhp)
Hi Guys / Girls
Could anyone with substantiated 0-60mph times please post them on this thread please, as I would like to have some sample data for my Stage 2 Engine modification article I will be publishing very soon. I have recently been testing the Spec C and would like to compare for the article against other modified Scoobs (up to 400bhp).
1)The car must be a Scooby (classic or newage) and anything up to 400bhp counts.
2)The times must be substantiated using proper equipment (stop watch timing does not count ).
Please state 0-60mph time, power output, model type, weight of vehicle and passenger (only if known to be correct), timing method and modifications done.
Thanks,
Shaun.

LOL - not quite what you want I'm sure but
5.8
218
MY99 2000 Turbo Wagon
11 stone & chap from REVS would've been maybe 12. Full tank of fuel too.
Dunno but it was stuck on the outside of the car, sensor facing the tarmac with a lappy inside the car.
Mods? Completely bog standard & running on NUL

Think I've got an official timing slip for my ver 3 STI RA done by the previous owner - was 4.something, I'll try and dig it out over the weekend - car is running about 350bhp.

At the end of 2003 just after my 2.5 went in my MY00 UK 4 door Turbo, 2.5, 20G, Optimax + NF, 5 speed gearbox, 403-434BHP depending on rollers. Damp surface, Goodyear F1 tyres. AP22 logging by Andy Forrest.
Car with driver/passenger/spec it had about 1450kg.
60 ft 2.13s 37.4mph
330 ft 5.45s 72.6mph
1/8 Mile 8.05s 96.8mph
1/4 Mile 12.12s 124.9mph
0-60MPH 3.97s
0-100MPH 8.75s
FQ400 with 405 BHP does 0-60 in 3.5.
New FQ360 is supposed to be 4.1.

Shaun,
I've posted this up in Essex Scoobies, as we did a J Tuner shoot last year where all times, etc were properly recorded on their instruments (and I don't mean their trombones )
You may get some responses.

Shaun,
Betts from the ESC was on the J Tuner shoot but has no access to a computer so I'll post his result up.
2002 Blobeye WRX
Invo induction kit
HKS VTA dump valve
TD05 16G turbo
Larger TMIC
P1 gearbox
Ported OEM headers
303BHP
Not mapped yet!!!
Got 4.36s 0-60, 13.1s 1/4 mile on the shoot and topped 151 by the end of the runway at Bruntingthorpe. All using J Tuner timing gear.
Hope this helps

My first car - not too heavily modified - a 1978 Vauxhall Chevette with 56bhp,
0-60mph ~ 16.1 secs
0-100mph ~ never got there and wandered between lanes at 90mph !
.... still, it looked cool in bright yellow with a 12" grinning Garfield the Cat sticker !!!

from street machine:
if you 1/8 mile ET is "A",and your 1/8 mile mph is "B",multiply A by 3600 and B by itself .divide the first number by the second number, the resuly is a close approximation of your 0-60 time in seconds.
example ; A=8.360 seconds,B=86.83 mph, (my best of that weekend)
8.360x3600=30096
86.83x86.83=7539.4489
30096 divided by 7539.4489 =3.99 seconds
clever huh

Timed @ Tuner GP last year (won the RWYB event ).
0-60mph in 3.7secs
That was on the way to a 12.3sec 1/4mile.....tyres were shot and was my first outing on new gearbox - only got a few runs in.
Then went on to run a fair bit quicker (11.7secs 1/4mile) a few weeks later.
Quite confident it would do a 3.5sec 0-60mph or maybe even duck under.
340bhp. You know the spec

Following on from my earlier post I found this which indicates a 0-60 of 4.48 seconds.
The seller also claimed to have done a 0-60 in 3.6sec at Bruntingthorp proving ground in Aug 2005 but I can't find any paperwork for it.
Please note that all of the above was before I bought the car so if it's bullsh*t don't blame me
