Default Dealer Servicing!!!

Thought I'd give the dealer the benefit of the doubt with the 1 year service on my 55 wrx. Not bad price £240 for the lot which included the body work inspection. Everything seemed sound until I got home.

Thought I'd give her a quick wash, to get all the mechanics gruppy paw prints off the wheels etc. Bloody silver overspray over the near side passengers door. Just felt the coarseness through the sponge. Now it's as dull as big brother!!

Will phone them tomorrow to get sorted.

Is there anything I can do to remove this if they start their denial crap? The bodywork has been paint protected with "tough seal" and I don't really want to pay to have it reapplied again.

Cheers

Neil

I think what Neil is saying is he paid £240 for the 10,000 miile service PLUS the 1st year Body Service, which would be about right in price. God knows how they got Silver Overspray on the car though!

1yr body service is £45 at KT Greens, Leeds. Oil change is £85 at Scoobyclinic IIRC, maybe another £25 for a check and top-up of everything else.

Red face

Think it was in the region of 125 GBP for my 10k service, but every b*stard dealer I call for abodywork service it seems to be 120 inc the VAT . . .

Go to Foresters in the West Midlands.

www.foresterspares.co.uk

Ivan & Julie Top People.

Got a 20,000 mile Service there, changed the plugs ( which is not on the Subaru Schedule)

Irridium Plugs that. Full Oil & Petrol treatment £135 Ex VAT.

Ivan knows his way around Scoobys big time & they sponsor Norman the Rally Driver.

Will not rip you off, sound people.

KInd regards

That WAS Motorsales in Harlow which isn't Subaru anymore. No didn't provide my own oil.

Since the removal of Block Exemption, you are free to get your car serviced by anywhere with the required skills that is VAT registered, using OE quality parts or better.

Cheers for the comments guys. I'll definetely shop around for the next service.

Cost was £193 inc for the service and £53 for the body inspection plus underseal.

Underseal over sprayed on the door woz FOC It came of with polish and a bit of elbow grease
